IMPORTANT

Price increase

I wrote to you in November, advising that we were having to make an emergency price increase & I had hoped that raw material prices would have settled down. However, the war in Ukraine has now had a dramatic effect on engineering – 70% of steel used in the UK originates in either Russia or Ukraine and prices have risen by 30% in the last month. Utilities continue to rise at a frightening rate and while we are in long term contracts, our supplier of subcontracted processing, notable heat treatment, are not. Fuel costs are climbing relentlessly. Yet again, we are unable to continue to supply product without taking action to redress these costs.

We have no choice but to increase our list prices by 7% across the product range with immediate effect. However, we are pleased to be able to say that we will honour any orders at existing prices that are already in our system. You may view the new price list HERE.

We will also continue to monitor the costs of our raw materials and when these have dropped sufficiently, we will lower our prices accordingly. I sincerely hope that this will be the last increase for the foreseeable future, but with the continued volatility of the market, I cannot make that promise.

I hope that you understand why we have felt the need for this. Be assured that throughout this challenging time we continue to put every effort into supplying our products to you.
